Programme for Canoefest 2016

From the Canoefest 2016 base at Ross Rowing Club, participants can jump into boats and explore the Wye. If you’re prepared to shuttle one way, the journey down from Hereford is around 22 miles. The other classic from Ross-on-Wye is through Symonds Yat to Monmouth. We trust lots of our Members will be taking advantage of our base to visit (or perhaps more commonly, re-visit) these stretches – either independently or on one of the many workshops we lay on.

If you prefer to get out and walk or cycle, Ross is again an excellent base, and one of our workshop leaders, Rich Tyler, will be offering an opportunity to combine boating and climbing into one trip. Other coaches will take full advantage of Symonds Yat to offer introductory moving water sessions (solo or tandem, using paddle, pole or line).

Throughout the weekend, the site itself will offer everything from headline workshops through to opportunities to try out demo boats from a host of manufacturers, and on Sunday afternoon the site will be given over to celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the OCA.

The full range of options has been e-mailed to registered participants.

Booking takes place at the time of registration for Ray Goodwin‘s workshops and for Becky Mason‘s workshops and Jan V an Hees‘ Workshops.  All the other workshops will be booked after registration.
